New Opportunities
In December we recieved word that our office space was needed for new staff at the New Life Free Methodist church where we currently had our offices and we had until February 1st to relocate. Although this news gave way to questions as to what direction we needed to go in as a ministry, I can also say without hesitation that there was also a total peace the entire time as we explored our options as a staff and Board.
One of the requests that I asked God for, was for all of us (the Board of Directors and staff) to be given the same leading for complete confirmation of what God wanted for True Hope. God was faithful to answer that prayer. As we all reviewed the facts, it became clear to each of us that True Hope Counseling's time in Binghamton had come to an end. It also became clear that True Hope Counseling was not at the end of the journey but instead had a new path to follow. Relocating to Oneonta, NY.
Chad and Nichole Post are launching out into private practice and will continue to professionally counsel in the Binghamton area. Their area of speciality is pre-marital and marriage counseling. Nichole also specializes in Christian-based play and art therapy with children. In addition, Chad and Nichole counsel a variety of other issues, such as depression, abuse issues, addictions, and anger management. They can be contacted at chdcp@yahoo.com.
True Hope Counseling is relocating to West Oenonta Baptist Church where my husband is Associate pastor. I am excited about this for several reasons! There will no longer be an hour commute to work! This is such a relief! We have also been told that there are not many Christian counselors in Oneonta so I am excited to be bringing this as a resource to the area.
I will continue to specialize in adolescent and eating disorder counseling, in addition to issues such as depression, anxiety, and abuse issues. My contact information remains the same. I will continue to offer counseling to the Binghamton area, especially for adolescent and eating disorder issues, as many people have already expressed a willingness to drive to Oneonta to continue counseling. Internet counseling is also available through our website for those who are unable to make the commute for a counseling session.
I am both overwhelmed and grateful at the responses that poured in when I first sent the news out that we were losing office space. To hear firsthand that God has used True Hope Counseling the past two years, was such a blessing and made every hour put into the ministry worth it! That was our prayer the entire time---that God would use the ministry to help people find hope, healing, and the abundant life. Given the responses we recieved, we are thrilled to find out that prayer was answered in many lives! God is good!
I would ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers as we relocate and re-establish up in the Oneonta area. We covet prayer support as we embark on yet another chapter of the ministry that God established in 2005.
