We value - The abundant Christian life as God has promised to each of His children. (John 10:10)

We value - The safety and advocacy of all individuals, especially those who are unable to protect themselves. (Psalm 82:3-4; Isaiah 61:1; Matthew 18:6, 10)

We value - Family, functioning in the role God has established in Scripture. (Ephesians 5:22-6:4)

#Philosophy of Ministry

True Hope Counseling will implement the core values by:
  • Providing love and acceptance, and treating each individual with dignity and value.
  • Using the Word of God as the foundation to all counsel given within the office.
  • Integrating psychology with theology. While we recognize that there are valuable academic concepts from psychology, we will use the Word of God as the final authority during the integration process. Any psychology that is in contradiction to Biblical truths and principles, will not be integrated into the counseling process.
  • Emphasizing the truths of God's Word, especially those pertaining to finding one's identity in Christ, as well as the resources God has provided via His Word and the Holy Spirit for all individuals to live a “life of godliness”.
  • Reminding all individuals of the promises God has provided in Scripture. We will consistently encourage clients to claim these promises for themselves.
  • Advocating for those clients who are unable to speak for, or protect themselves. This may include everything to following ethical guidelines within the counseling process to filing police reports concerning abusive situations. We will always make it our aim to err on the side of safety for our client.
  • Teaching the Biblical roles of each family member as God has clearly outlined in Scripture.
  • Implementing an internship program with area colleges and universities for those preparing for Christian counseling ministry.
  • Establishing True Hope Counseling as a place in which individuals who have been called into a full-time ministry using the gifts God has given them, particularly those pertaining to Christian counseling, may live out their calling on a full-time basis while earning an adequate income.
  • Creating and launching a website that offers professional Christian counseling beyond the outreaches of our surrounding community, via internet counseling and email counseling

#Mission Statement

#Statement of Faith

God
We believe that God is an eternal and holy God. We believe that God is Trinity. The Trinity consists of God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and God the Son. (Genesis 1:26-27; Isaiah 6:3; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14;

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. We believe that the Bible is inerrant and is profitable for all of life. (II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:16-17)

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe that Jesus was man and God.   We believe that Jesus lived a sinless and holy life. We believe that Jesus' death on the cross, provided the redemptive work for all of mankind's sins. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and is now in heaven, at the right hand of the Father. (Matthew 1:21-22; John 1:1; Philippians 2:6-7; I Corinthians 15: 3-8p; Hebrews 4:14-15)

The Holy Spirit
We believe that after Jesus returned to heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit to indwell all believers. We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to bring glory to Jesus Christ, as well as to convict, counsel, comfort, guide, empower, sanctify, and seal the believer. (John 14:16-17; John 16:13-14; Ephesians 1:13; Acts 1:8)

Mankind
We believe that man was created in the image of God. We believe in the depravity of man, as a result of sin. We believe in mankind's need for a Savior, as provided in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:27; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23; John 3:16-18; Romans 6:23)

The Church
We believe that all believers makes up the church. We believe that the church is the Body of Christ, with Jesus as the head. We believe that each part of the body has different characteristics, and that each part, though while distinct in their differences, are all vital to completing the work of God in the world. (Romans 12: 5-8; Colossian 1:18)
